I have learned many things abroad, one of them being that I am a terrible blogger. However, I am going to make an effort to post some pictures and share with all my followers (aka mom and dad) a few of my experiences on the other side of the world.
In the past 3 months, I traveled to Granada, Cordoba, Bilbao, Segovia, Toledo, Marrakech, the Sahara Desert, Casa Blanca, and most of my classes. In Bilbao, my friend Beth and her husband's family showed me great hospitality, filled my stomach with warm food and shared their city with me. In Toledo, I explored a castle, mosque, cathedral and Roman bridge all within 8 hours, giving me a more interesting perspective on how diverse Spain's cultural and religious history is. The details etched into the walls of the Alhambra in Granada highlighted the passion and pride the original designers and artists had. My most meaningful experience abroad thus far, my trip to Morocco, refreshed my soul in many ways, bringing me back to the reasons why I am traveling. The rich culture, kind people, tasty food, and sensory overstimulation made me never want to leave.
